COMMUNITY COMMITMENT

Good Neighbor, Community Partner

The Levin family and RPRC are committed to being good neighbors and supporting the long-term goals of the City of Richmond.

We pride ourselves on providing good-paying jobs, economic stability, civic engagement, and financial and volunteer support for a multitude of non-profit social and educational organizations within both the City of Richmond and throughout West Contra Costa County.

Our employees proudly participate in the Coronado, Marina Bay and Sante Fe Neighborhood Councils to ensure that the RPRC is aware and involved in local issues, and to better understand the special needs of our surrounding neighborhoods.

A Friend In Deed

Helen Keller once said, "Alone, we can do so little. Together, we can do so much." With this thought in mind, we've invested hundreds of thousands of dollars into our community — improving the safety and quality of life for our neighbors. For example, we provide labor, equipment, and materials to regularly clean up homeless encampments along Castro Street. And we've provided K-rails to guide traffic and placed concrete safety barriers to prevent pedestrians or vehicles from inadvertently veering into the right-of-way of the railroad.

We also proudly support:

  • Richmond Police Activities League (PAL), an important program for Richmond youth

  • East Bay Center for the Performing Arts

  • YMCA

  • Richmond Art Center, providing programs for Richmond youth

  • YouthWORKS and other education and youth employment programs

  • An intern program in collaboration with the West Contra Costa Unified School District
