About Us
RPRC is locally owned and operated and serves the Richmond Inner Harbor and the greater Richmond area, and has been an environmental leader in the rail industry since its founding in 2007.
It connects directly with the Union Pacific Railroad and the BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway). Our convenient location in Richmond, California (Eastern San Francisco Bay) offers easy access to major inland trucking and rail routes, as well as sea routes to and from the Pacific Rim. We currently operate on approximately 11 miles of track and serve 18 customers. We can handle up to 286,000-pound cars and all our track is maintained to Class I standards.
Rail-served facilities are available for movement of virtually any commodity type, including aggregates and minerals, agricultural products, wine and foodstuffs, steel, lumber, liquid bulk, and heavy equipment. We have very close relationships with on-line transload and distribution facilities, assisting dry bulk and lumber transfer to truck or barge/vessel, cross-docking, and warehousing.
Doing Business
Our short line rail (and bulk marine terminal services) offer “one-stop” logistics for customers desiring to bring bulk commodities to the West Coast by rail for overseas shipment or from overseas to the West Coast for US distribution.
These two operations can provide first- (imports) or last- (exports) mile delivery services under one roof. The two functions work together seamlessly, under a common workforce and management structure, delivering consistent operational reliability and enhanced customer service.
